About The Anchor Pub
The Anchor offers a timeless experience where you can relax with friends in one of Everett's finest historic buildings on Port Gardner Bay. A witness to Everett's rich waterfront history The Anchor, as its name implies, is a place to land where you can make connections unwind and drift on the hook to your favorite tunes in a safe harbor.
The Anchor Pub began serving customers over 102 years ago. Opening in 1907 as Mulligan's Saloon, it ran as such until the Volstad act. When prohibition was over and the act was repealed in 1910 the space was renamed The Anchor and outfitted again as a beer parlor. Longshoremen, mill workers and railroad staff and patrons fortified the Anchor through the end of the 20th century. Yet as the traffic patterns changed and the waterfront labor industry subsided The Anchor was set adrift and the doors finally closed at the end of the 20th century. As the century began anew so did The Anchor. It was revived and given a new life with triple the floor space, a band stand and a whole new façade.
